Predictions for Taurus to Cancer for Week of 7/26/15

Greetings Stargazers!

Before I fuel my jet pack with Earl Grey tea (yes I'll take the chance) and give the forecast for this week, I would like to share one other bit of Astrological news with you. Venus will be in retrograde at the end of this week. What this means is that instead of moving forward in Virgo, Venus will move backward back into Leo.

The aspect that many will see with Venus Retrograde is that people may be a bit harsher when it comes to relations with one another. For those who are single, Saturday will not be a great time to enter into relationships. For those of you who are married or currently in a relationship, keep constructive communication open and if friction occurs, give each other a little bit of space. And when it comes to rush hour traffic, remember that there is always something worth learning from, when you don't flip off and swear at the driver who cuts you off.

For all of you Virgos out there, you may feel the friction between being able to think and communicate well to being a little dreamy or foggy headed. Again, try not to stress. Give Venus about a week to move forward into your house to piece things together again.

With this said, let's fuel my jet pack, and ascend up to Taurus to see what the Bulls, the Twins and the Crabs are experiencing this week.

Taurus (April 20-May 21):

Between a surge of energy from Mars and an increase in imagination from Neptune and a fine eye for depth from Pluto,  most likely that you're finding new business ideas and are bringing them into reality. This could take shape in the form of increasing a current venture that you're already within or starting a new business. Either way, you're very eager to see where your ideas are taking you.
With Venus' current position in Virgo, you're meeting new friends and romantic ties. You have an added sense of joy in the way in which you're increasing your social circle.
A note of caution: With the Mercury and Sun conjunction squaring your house, be careful that, when it comes to your friends and romantic ties, that you think of what you say before saying it. Otherwise you may utter something in which you have to backtrack in your relationship, in order to take something back.
Also with Saturn's position being in opposition to your house, you may feel a challenge when it comes to your new business ideas. Just how will the grand ideas from Neptune be set into motion? Perhaps start with the very simple set of ideas and build from there.

Gemini (May 21-June 20):

My goodness Twins, along with Leo, you guys have a lot going on, planetary wise.
With your natural ruler, Mercury being in conjunction with the Sun and with this relationship further being sextile to your house, you're experiencing an increased surge of mental energy. You're finding interest in many subjects, social interactions and philosophies and you feel an even greater connection with your social circle. Most likely, you're communicating with friends and loved ones more about your experiences. Combine that with the semi-sextile with Mars, you're interests are turbo charged by your increased willpower. If you're not out and about, you feel as though life will pass you by and this mere feeling makes you antsy.
With your increased mental energy, Uranus' position is causing for you to question all forms of existing structures around you. When it comes to rules and guidelines, you're biggest question is "Why do I have to follow a, b and c? Where did all of these protocols come from?" You're also keen to finding out by rebelling a little.
A note of caution: With Venus' position being squared your house, just make sure that your inclination to share your interests with friends and loved ones doesn't lead to being a know it all or in dismissing what others have to say. You may lose interest or even the closeness of friends and loved ones and there's nothing worse for a Twins' state of mind than having people either not care or feel angered by your behavior.
Speaking of moods and state of mind, you may feel tension with your emotions from Monday to Wednesday of this week. Just give yourself plenty of room to let go of whatever may be the cause of these tensions and save discussions when the tensions clear.
Also be careful as to how critical reasoning affects your rebellious behavior, especially within a working environment. You don't want to attract negative attention from an employer or supervisor.

Cancer (June 20-July 23):

You aren't your usual quiet self, this week. With the Mercury and Sun conjunction being semi-sextile to Mars' position to your house, your keen on sharing ideas with people this week and seeing those ideas come into fruition.
With Saturn's and Neptune's positions, you are also highly focused on tasks at hand, whether it be on what to do at work, a project at home or personal matters. You also have a higher sense of intuition on what works when it comes to your ideas.
A note of caution: Because of Pluto's and Uranus' positions, don't let the ideas of others affect your mood. Especially if someone is not keen on acting on your ideas alone. Also, as with previous weeks, don't let emotional tensions cause for you to say something cutting or destructive or cause for you to dive into a tailspin of negativity. Again, holistic forms of movement or therapy may be useful for keeping calm.
Be careful that your increase in ideas doesn't lead to erratic decision making. Try to see the pros and the cons of what you're planning to do, before setting out to expressing the idea.

Well, Stargazers, my pots of Earl Grey tea were sufficient for today. I'll have to descend back down to Earth. I hope that the forecasts are informative and new for you. Until next we meet, remember to look up at the stars and see if you can spot the constellation of your sun sign. I'll give you one hint--wherever you see Saturn (the bright yellow star in the sky), is near Scorpio. From there, the constellations are ordered to the east of that position.

This is Alissandra Coffey, signing off.

Predictions for Capricorn to Aries for Week of 7/27/15

Greetings to you Stargazers!

I had noticed, right after I had posted yesterday's topic, that I had made one little mistake. Instead of covering Leo to Scorpio in my forecast, I had covered Leo to Sagittarius. I made the corrections but I think that I was a little too inundated with the Earl Grey tea that I had used to power my jet pack.

So, for today, I'm going to fuel with Green Tea and cover Capricorn to Aries.

With that in mind, allow for me to blast off into the heavens and take a closer look.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19):

With the Sun/Mercury conjunction, being quincunx to Pluto in your house, you're probably experiencing mental and verbal situations that are tense in nature but can be resolved easily. While the first tendency is to snap or say something destructive, you are realizing that there are better ways to handle these tense situations, constructively. After all, you don't want to ruin your wise, yet professional nature to something that could be highly immature or minor.
With Saturn's aid, you are able to stay focused on what needs to be done. Maybe the focus is aiding you with a high stack of demands at work, a large DIY project at home, or with resolving personal matters. Most likely, you're also experiencing situations where you can look at the truth of all matters and come to an objective conclusion.
With Neptune's aid, you're able to use your intuition to aid with the mental/verbal conflicts that are coming your way. There are times where you can just feel that something is not right and get to the bottom of it, before the conflict escalates.
A note of caution: Try not to allow for your logic to cause for you to become distant or cold to people. You can remain objective, precise and all seeing while still remaining personable.

Aquarius (January 20-February 19):

Because the Sun/Mercury conjunction is in opposition with your house, you're experiencing a situation where your thoughts are scattered and the tension from this effect is causing your verbal skills to become either abrupt and sharp or not well formed. Hang in there Water Bearers, this transit will not last for very long. What I would recommend is that you keep pen and paper handy and just jot out whatever comes to mind, in a list. When you're ready to tackle a project, just pull out your list--it could aid you in what you may have forgotten or what you want to express but can't find the exact wording for.
Some good news: up until Wednesday of this week, you'll have a little help from the Moon's position. With this transit, you'll have a bit of emotional support in dealing with the scattered thoughts, whether from friends and family or from yourself. You'll also have a heightened sense of intuition that can aid with problem solving.
Your natural ruler, Uranus, is also at your aid, by helping you to critically evaluate as to what will be important, when it comes to your projects at hand, and you may be able to do without.

Pisces (February 20-March 19):

You poor Fish. With the Sun conjunction Mercury position being quincunx with Neptune in your house, there's a good chance that you're experiencing a mental fog. Either you are working on an important matter and you can't concentrate or, like your neighbor, Aquarius, you're forgetting things left and right and can't form cohesive thoughts. While a quincunx can lead to easy resolutions, you're having a hard time finding a fix for your concentration. As with Aquarius, keep a list of things that you can think of, to do and also of your thoughts for important projects. Also just do what you can and rest when the fog hits.
A bit of good news: Saturn is at your aid, in the regard that you may find bursts of focus in order to penetrate through the foggy state of mind, so that you're not mired in it, throughout your whole day. Pluto's sextile indicates that you may find some fixes when it comes to your intuition. Also Mars will help when it comes to the will to overcome your mental fog and by leading you to an unknown source of creativity. The creativity may aid you in your projects and will also give you an outlet to express frustrations that come from the mental fog.

Aries (March 20-April 19):

While you have felt like you have been bumping your head up against walls with the previous weeks, the Sun conjunction Mercury transit in Leo, is leading to critical thinking being at an all time high this week. In fact it's giving Uranus' placement, in your house, a little hand to smooth matters over.
This week, you'll be able to see all of what you want to do, clearly and objectively. You'll even feel that you can plan ahead before you tackle your projects, headlong.
A note of caution: Be careful of Mars and Pluto's influence, when it comes to making decisions. While you feel more in control, don't let this feeling cause for you to lapse on thinking through matters critically. Above all, don't let the feelings of being in control cause you to become impulsive, or the impulse can be your undoing.

Well Stargazers, my five pots of Green Tea have run dry and my jet pack is starting to sink back down to Earth. Until next time, this is Alissandra Coffey, signing off.

Prediction for Leo to Sagittarius and how Mercury with Sun conjunction is Affecting all predictions

Greetings Stargazers! This is Alissandra Coffey reporting to you outside of a crowded Lion's house (goodness gracious, Jupiter, can you take up any more room?). If you are a proud parent who gave birth to a Leo today, most likely that your little cub will be very contemplative and talkative. His/her mind will be quick and expansive This is due to how Mercury is in conjunction with the little one's Sun placement and how Jupiter is also within Leo's house.

Because Astrologers (not that I would say that I carry this title entirely) always learn new things, I've found another way to make predictions and would like to try it out, to see if it works a bit better than what I have been doing.

If what I'm doing is resulting to the same outcome, then I'll stick to the old way. Also please feel free to post a comment and give me your views. In all honesty, I really wouldn't mind.

Today I'll give predictions for signs Leo to Sagittarius. Then I'll cover four signs throughout the week.

One thing that I can say about this week is that the theme is mental energy, due to how Mercury is in conjunction with the Sun's position.

With all this said, I'll refuel my rocket pack, with an added dose of Earl Grey tea (this stuff really works) and try not to bump into Mercury, Jupiter or the Sun, as we start with our Lions.

Leo (July 23- August 23):

Due to how Mercury is in conjunction to the Sun, most likely you're feeling as though your mind is whirring with thoughts and ideas at this time. Not only that, but you may be experiencing a situation where your mind seems to be faster than usual--you're understanding written and verbal material faster and you're coming to conclusions at a swifter pace than usual. You're also more keen to looking at all matters with a logical state of mind--this is a time where you're a little less inclined to believe subjective statement and you want hard, empirical facts to stand behind what you're hearing.
With Jupiter being in the mix, you're scope of focus has widened--perhaps you're more inclined to think of others first as opposed to yourself. When in a bind, you're more inclined to see the other person's point of view as opposed to how the other person is setting off your temper.

A note of caution: I would just caution you about Mercury's downside--mental crashes. In order to avoid a thought from coming up to a complete wall, give your noggin frequent breaks. Go and enjoy the outdoors, run a lap around the office or take a latte break. As tempting as it is to use the faster mental prowess for meeting goals, again, there's nothing worse for the regal Lion's reputation than to have a moment where you're caught fuzzy headed.

Virgo (August 24-September 23):

With Venus being within your house and semi sextile to this week's Sun position, you're probably thinking grand, aesthetically oriented thoughts. You're more in tune to appreciating fine art, or tasting the finer wines that you haven't indulged within, because of concerns with practicality and your budget.
The boost in the aesthetic thoughts are in thanks to Mercury's position being within the mix. The other matter that I see with Mercury semi sextile Venus is that you will be able to look at matters with friends, cohorts and loved ones far more logically and diplomatically than usual.
Jupiter is also in conjunction with Venus' placement. This would bring out a more loving nature from you. You are probably thinking of using this loving nature with philanthropic work or how to help others who are vulnerable at this point.

A note of caution: Just make sure that your appreciation for the finer things within your life, doesn't lead to an abandonment of material concerns. With Neptune's opposition, you could get a little too carried away with the indulgences that you're allowing. Also make sure that when helping others, that your enlargened heart doesn't get trampled on by others who aren't so loving.

Libra (September 24-October 23):

When it comes to weighing all matters, fairly, with all of the facts that are coming your way, you're mood is uplifted in the regard that you have been able to come to logical conclusions, this week. Logical conclusions are what Libra strives for after all.
With Mercury's conjunction with the current Sun's placement, you're benefiting by weighing matters out, in a faster way as well as in a more decisive way. You can back your conclusions with empirical evidence (or the equivalent thereof) and your conclusions align with what feels right. Even ideal.

A note of caution: With Uranus' position being in opposition to your house, make sure that impulsive decisions aren't made, because you're on a roll with Mercury's influence. Make sure to use the critical thinking skills that Uranus can bring, to aid with coming to rational, balanced and logical conclusions.

Scorpio (October 24-Novemeber 23):

While you are very focused and goal oriented this week, you're feeling a that when it comes to your goals being met, it's taking a long time. Good chance that your thoughts are also feeling a little drag, as though all ideas are taking quite a long time in being expressed.
This is due to how Saturn's position to your house is squared to the Mercury/Sun conjunction in Leo.
Before you grow frustrated, however, Mars' position will give you added boosts of energy and endurance to keep at your goals and Neptune will cause for you to look at your goals in depth. This is a time where these trines will aid you to learn how to look at your goals more realistically.

Sagittarius (November 24-December 21):

The Moon is outside your house again, dear Centaurs. However, with the Mercury/Sun conjunction, you'll find that you mental endeavors are heightened, by a boost in logic. You'll also feel that you'll be able to blend the subjective with the logical when pondering about the philosophies that you'll endeavor or the physical adventures that you'll take.
A note of caution: Be careful that the Moon's influence doesn't cause for you to become overly subjective in your findings. While you may feel, very strongly, that a couple of points may be right, don't be too quick to think that you've come up to the truth. If there's a sore spot for Sagittarius, it's having others think that you're foolhardy with your conclusions, when you can be rather logical.
If you need to wait to approach you adventures with a critical eye, wait for two days, when the Moon moves into Capricorn.

Well, Stargazers, I've run out of Earl Grey tea to boost my jet pack. So until next time, check out Saturn and Jupiter in the evening's sky. In the Denver Metro area, Saturn can be seen in the southern half of the sky and Jupiter in the West.

Happy Stargazing!

The Rest of Ariana Grande's Natal Chart

Greetings Stargazers! I hope all of you Lions are enjoying the heart of summer.

As promised, I will complete my reading of Ariana Grande's chart. Hopefully it's informative and inspiring for everyone.

Allow for me to strap on my rocket pack and soar up to the heavens, to what June 26, 1993, looked like.

To develop the "self" is at the personal core of Ariana Grande due to the position of her Moon and Jupiter in her chart (in her first house, in Libra). Finding a way to know herself and expressing her conclusions is important for her. She would be most inclined to either see her performances as a way of knowing more about herself (and therefore takes her career very seriously) or she finds a way to express her sense of individuality within her music and tours. She's also keen on balancing her sense of self with the rest of her life. Ideally she would like to have a strong sense of knowing who she is and balance this with her social life and career. Perhaps we may see a little more self reflections come out of Ariana Grande's music.

Speaking of her social life, with Jupiter's conjunction, I see someone who has a very expansive and large emotional life. With her expansive nature, she's apt at letting people into her life. As mentioned with her Mercury position (which is sextile to her Jupiter and Moon conjunction) her social life is an important factor, due to how she comes to profound moments when she's communicating with her friends, beaus and family. She's one to take advice or to come to profound insights from her friends.

With Pluto being sextile her Jupiter and Moon conjunction, our guest has keen insight as to her sense of self and when it comes to her thoughts. She also knows when to strike when the iron is hot--she has a keen sense of business when it comes to her career. In a way, she knows when to show up at the right place and time when it comes to tours or when promoting a new album. Also, when it came to the start of her career, Ariana Grande may have had a sense of timing when it came to breaking out of the mold of child star and into the role of musician. She just knew when to make an important decision.

With her Sun's placement squaring her Jupiter and Moon placement, however, Ariana Grande feels that her quest in knowing herself, conflicts with her equal goal of making the most out of her career. The way in which this conflict pervades is that she's very preoccupied with her career and becoming a star performer, that she doesn't always have the time to know more about herself.

Because she has such a wide social circle, the one danger that I can see is that she's more prone to being led by what others think she should do that she doesn't always take the time to see what she really needs to do. This conflict can lead Ariana Grande to make decisions and actions that are regretful, in the long run. Being led by others can also cause for Ariana Grande to become resentful of those who give her advice, especially if the advice doesn't work out for her.

I would just advise (ironically) that she take the time to look into herself, a bit more--she has the ability to discern as to what would be great for her image and her career and she needs to trust her inner instincts more.

Also with Pluto's opposition with her Venus placement, I would recommend that Ariana Grande also watch her words carefully, especially with loved ones. She is a little prone to saying cutting things.

With her Uranus and Neptune conjunction in Ariana Grande's fourth house, she can come across as having eccentric ideas, especially when it comes to a sense of home. "Home," in Astrology, can mean a literal brick and motar structure or feeling at home inside of yourself. In this sense, Ariana Grande can have rather intriguing concepts and philosophies about what it means to be "at home."

With this conjunction being within Capricorn, the sense of home may have something to do with relating to her reputation.

With the Uranus and Neptune conjunction being trined with Venus in her eighth house (Taurus), and Mars in her twelfth house (Virgo),  she has a happy home that also revolves around change and financial stability. She also craves a sense of change inside of herself. Without change, Ariana Grande becomes restless and prone to feeling trapped, or feeling as though her life is stagnant.

Again, another individual who has a grand trine! What this indicates is that Ariana Grande will continue to become a very successful person.

With her Uranus and Neptune conjunction being in opposition with her Mercury placement, I would just advise that Ariana Grande think about her ideas before mentioning them. If not thought out carefully, she could be seen as being fuzzy headed or superficial. This can annoy our guest in the regard that she would like to be seen as being original and profound.

With Saturn being within our guest's sixth house, means that she is very dedicated to maintaining her health. What this means is that she can be a bit preoccupied with staying healthy that it can cause for her to be a little bit of a hypochondriac, when it comes to minor problems. We may also see Ariana Grande becoming dedicated to philanthropic causes in the years to come.

With her Saturn opposition to her Mars placement, my only advice to Ariana Grande is that her dedication to health doesn't become such an obsession as to cause a conflict within the deepest parts of herself. Especially if she should feel restrained by her health choices.

One last aspect that I see is that Ariana Grande's Mars position in her twelfth house, denotes a lot of inner drive when it comes to her goals within life. Because yours truly has the same aspect within her chart, I would advise that all inner conflicts that arise, are expressed in constructive ways. Verbalizing or finding ways to present inner conflicts creatively are great ways to bring matters out into the open while resolving these conflicts in a rewarding way.

So Stargazers, what do you think? Feel free to leave a comment when it comes to your thoughts.

Because my rocket pack is running low on fuel and the present is coming back rather quickly, I will need to descend back down to earth for now. Until next time, Stargazers, this is Alissandra Coffey signing off and granting a very happy birthday to all Leos out there.

Revelations on Leo Shift and Another Guest chart

Greetings Stargazers! Interesting news, especially for all of you Lions out there--today is the first day of Leo.

Also Mercury had moved from Cancer to Leo. What this means is that everyone in this sign are far more inclined to express themselves. Leo may find that they need to communicate ideas, a little more than usual, or, with their involvement in the arts, may find creative outlets to impart ideas.

Also, Leo may experience an increase in mental faculties. Meaning that the Lion's brain is quick to understand and process information. Also ideas come in a flash. For some, Mercury's swift influence can be a little overwhelming in the regard that one may have a great idea one moment, that is fleeting the next.

With Jupiter's influence in the mix, Leos may find that Mercury may aid in the really big ideas that have been buzzing about within these last couple of weeks. To all of you Lions out there, good chance that you'll finally be able to bring your ideas out into the open.

For all of the signs, the month of Leo, is quite the opposite to Cancer's month--we move from a month where introspective, quiet and supportive energies abound to a month where dynamism, being recognized and finding spiritual outlets are key. We move from a month where everything is quiet and subtle to a month where everything is loud and extremely colorful.

With Mercury's move, expect to find more efforts to communicate with loved ones and children and expect to find more creativity being added into your daily mix of activities.

With Venus' move into Virgo, expect to find increased motivation to serve those who are less fortunate. This may be a month where a lot of individuals will want to volunteer and make a difference within their communities. Also there will be an increase in minding one's health in the most positive ways possible.

Even though we've transitioned into the month of Leo, I would still like to feature one last Cancerian personality, so I'm not just leaving our dear, sensitive Crabs in the dust.

This time, however, I won't cause for this individual to be a mystery guest.

The chart is that of current pop sensation Ariana Grande. Today I will reveal her Ascendant, Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus positions. Tomorrow I will interpret the rest of her chart.

As with our last two guests, Ariana Grande has an Ascendant in Virgo. Ariana Grande does have the appearance of wanting to look sharp in public. Since she's still very young, I look at her chart as ways in which she'll grow over the years.

For starters, I think that she'll definitely find a way to keep her personal life more private and her public image looking sharp and neat. I think that she'll also learn to tone down the impulsive actions that Mars in her twelfth house posits.

With her Sun placement in the tenth house, her focus will continue to grow with her career. I think that she'll find ways to write songs that will give greater depth and sensitivity to her music.

Because balance is a key force in Ariana Grande's life (this is due to her Moon's placement in the first house and within Libra), finding a way to integrate her public and personal life will be very important for her. Libra's balance will be a key for Ariana Grande to find who she really is and how to express her findings.

Her Mercury placement is in the eleventh house, which tells me that she is very outgoing and vocal with friends and family. She feels the most comfortable with confiding and talking to someone and comes to very profound conclusions with her social life.

With her Venus placement being within Taurus (a natural planetary placement), she loves the aesthetic in her life and she very loyal to those with whom she loves. The only warning that I have is that she doesn't grow possessive over her beau.

Well Stargazers, I hope that you like what I have seen in Ariana Grande's chart, thus far. Until we meet again, make sure to take a look at the stars.

Mystery Guest Reveal and News on Cancer/Leo transition

Greetings Stargazers! Alissandra Coffey reporting to you.

Excitement is in the air,  in the regard that we are coming up to the transition date from Cancer to Leo. It has not occurred today as I had predicted two days ago, due to the fact that the sun's position is 29 degrees Cancer. I would say either tomorrow or Friday the 24th should make for the transition.

To all of you Lions out there, be patient. Your time will come in a day or so.

I wanted to reveal the Mystery Guest, or I should say Guests, in which I had imparted clues to you two days ago. Again, for all of you Crabs, our guests can give you a little more insight as to what attributes of Cancer you share with our Mystery Guest.

The Mystery Guest's legal name was Abigail Van Buren. She was also known as Dear Abby. Her twin sister, Ann Landers also lent a hand with the columns of Dear Abby. The natal charts of the twins is exactly the same, so both sisters definitely had a lot in common. I state the sameness of the charts in the regard that twins can have different charts due to the fact that not all twins are born at the same time as Abigail Van Buren and Ann Landers.

Both sisters' birthdays occurred on July 3. In all honesty, Stargazers, I found our Mystery Guests were a pleasant surprise, due to how many journalists are usually within one of the Air signs (sp. Gemini, Libra or Aquarius) or within Scorpio. However, when one looks at the content of the Dear Abby columns, one can see that this could be a nice avenue for Cancer.

The charts for Abby and Ann, are very heavily centered around their tenth house due to the fact that they have four planets crammed into Cancer and three of those planets are in conjunction with each other. With the Mercury and Sun placements of both sisters, Ann and Abby were extremely talkative, when it came to professional matters. Unlike where many Cancerian personalities like to keep their thoughts to themselves, Ann and Abby were the types who stated anything that came to mind, at all times. While they may have been considerate of other people's feelings, they still verbalized what was observed with reader's letters.

With Pluto being within this conjunction, both sisters also had a keen eye for seeing below the surface of submitted letters--they were able to glean a hint of the truth from what was occurring within the reader's life. These truths were not matters that someone would state (such as an abusive boyfriend). As a result they would find a kind yet sufficient way to impart a truthful form of advice. A downside to Pluto conjunct Sun is that the individuals can also be a little power hungry. For Ann and Abby, perhaps they wanted to be the one and only source for advice, when it came to newspapers around the country.

With Jupiter being the last planet in the mix, both sisters had a lot of expansive ideas about their column and they also had a lot of good fortune that shone down upon them, when working their way into becoming a syndicated column. It was apparent that professional matters were of great importance to Ann and Abby and there was a great chance that work always came first.

With Saturn and Neptune being within both sister's eleventh house, Ann and Abby's friends and family would have described them as being loyal and innovative when it came to keeping relationships alive.

Even though both planets aren't in conjunction, one problem that could have occurred was that Ann and Abby had a tendency to idealize their friends and companions. The challenge that they faced was seeing the flaws come out of the friends and family members and not knowing what to do to address these flaws. Furthermore, they were probably plagued with how to remain loyal to these individuals and their flaws. With these planet's squared position with their Moon, both sisters could have been weighed down, rather heavily from the challenge.

Another possibility was that with over idealizing their friends and family members, they could have been a little possessive of these people. This conclusion comes from the fact that their Moon's position was in the sign of Taurus, a sign whose shadow side comes from being a little clingy to individuals and objects.

Now Stargazers, this is the place of the chart where I grow a little jealous of Ann and Abby--they both had a grand trine between Mars in their first house, Venus in their ninth house and Uranus in their sixth house. Grand Trines are rare in charts and are very beneficial (many, like yours truly, have one trine in a natal chart). In the case of Ann and Abby, it contributed to their success.

With Mars being in the first house, Ann and Abby had a lot of will, stamina and strength to outwardly dedicate their time to the column "Dear Abby." These were two individuals who were tenacious and driven when it came to becoming successful journalists. With Venus being in the mix, they had a lot of charm mixed with the drive of Mars. Mars and Venus either in conjunction or in a positive aspect in a chart indicates very saavy business skills. Marketing the "Dear Abby" column wasn't a huge problem for Ann and Abby. With Uranus completing this grand trine, Ann and Abby had an ability to experiment with different formats or ways with giving advice, that yielded great readership.

Finally there was Ann and Abby's square with their planets in their tenth house with Mars in their first house. Since Ann and Abby's lives were revolving around their work life, there could have been moments where  decisions about the "Dear Abby" column were made rashly, or comments could have been a little brash. On top of which their vast amounts of luck at work could have led to accidents due to not seeing everything through, when it came to their column.

While I feel that both Ann and Abby had a way to resolve these matters, some of my recommendations for people who have similar aspects in their charts is to take a step back and see things through. Perhaps give an idea a third look before moving forward.

Overall, Ann and Abby were very dynamic journalists in their time and were also philanthropic (Uranus in the sixth house), in their quest to make sense out of the everyday life surrounding us. Their advice were profound and written with great sensitivity.

Well, Stargazers. My time in the stars has come to an end. Until next time, this is Alissandra Coffey, signing off.

???? Mystery Guest and some new occurences with Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Aquarius and Pisces

Greetings Stargazers! This is Alissandra Coffey reporting to you.

I thought that I would give you clues to a mystery guest today, knowing that we only have a few days of being in the sign of Cancer, before we shift to Leo (I'm thinking that the shift will occur on Wednesday July 22). Knowing a notable personality within your sign can help to give you perspective as to what to expect.

As for predictions for this week, there is a slight shift since the Moon, Mercury and Venus had moved. However, in order to not sound like a broken record for the signs of Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius and Capricorn, since the planetary alignments are the same as with last week, I will say that there are slight changes for Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Aquarius and Pisces.

With all of the aforementioned in mind, let's take a look.

Cancer (June 20-July 22):

While Mars is still transisting your house and you will still feel an increased drive in accomplishing projects, Mercury is in conjunction with your sun's position. What this means is that you'll have a boost of extra mental energy, in order to accomplish your tasks. You'll also feel inclined to share what's on your mind with both colleagues, close friends, companions and family members.
A note of caution:  Still be very careful that you don't pair tensions with colleagues with destructive remarks or comments. Again, Pluto is still in opposition with your house. Keep up with holistic activities if you feel a large amount of stressors within a given day.

Leo (July 22-August 23):

Since Venus left your house, you're not feeling as though your heart is on your sleeve. However, expansion seems to be the key word for this time, since Jupiter is still transisting your house. Your ideas are growing, the things that you have to do seems to be immense, but rewarding. This is also a time where you're broadening your horizons and learning new things.
A note of caution: Even though it seems that matters are going your way, don't rely too heavily on Jupiter's luck. Just ask a Sagittarian of the flip side of Jupiter's luck. Even if everything is working out, make sure your work ethic is still as strong as ever. Also Saturn is still square with your house, so some of the expansive projects may be overwhelming at times. Thinking of the rewards to achieving these tasks will help you greatly.

Virgo (August 24-September 23):

To all of you lovely Virgins, you're probably stating, "Finally, I can handle my mind's fog! What a great week!"

I can agree with you whole heartedly. Venus has just transisted your house. Good chance that you're tackling the mental fog from Neptune, with diplomacy and tact. You're able to see what works for you in a given day and what may have to be tackled at another time.
Just a note of caution: The Moon is also outside of your house. Just make sure that your emotions are in check, because they are a little high. This goes for the times in which your mind drifts into the Neptunian fog.

Aquarius (January 19-February 19):

With Jupiter being in opposition to your house, you may be feeling a slight overwhelming sense of needing to accomplish a lot of things. Deadlines and pressing matters seem to be coming to you or your desk.
The good news is that Jupiter's opposition is actually a mild one. With that said, you may find a lot of personal meaning from the projects that you're undertaking both inside yourself and out.
Just a note of caution: With this expansive time, make sure that you're also working on personal projects that give you more of a personal reward. If you leave everything to the material, that may give you a feeling of emptiness. This would be a great time to take on your favorite philanthropic causes or use your logic to discover inner strengths.

Pisces (February 20-March 19):

While you're able to learn about particular subjects, in great depth or think of ideals at this time, just be careful that you're not excluding loved ones, by accident. This is due to Neptune being in opposition to Venus' placement outside of Virgo's house.
If you're in a relationship, at this time, also be careful to not over idealize the individual. Looking at loving matters with a discerning eye will be beneficial to you--especially if you're in a relationship where you're the one who's giving a lot and the partner is only taking.
Within this week, you will find yourself to be very giving. This may be a great week to do volunteer work.

Guess Who:

As with the last time that we had a mystery guest, the clues will be from the mystery guest's occupation, what his/her Ascendant, Moon, Mercury and Venus positions reveal about our guest.

For starters, this person was a journalist. Her column was known for imparting advice to people who would address questions to her, by letters.

She also had a twin sister, who was equally great with advice.

With our guest's Ascendant being in Virgo, great chance she made sure that her persona or her outer personality came across as being well put together. When it came to appearances, her hair was probably styled where a hair was not out of place. She also presented herself as being mannerly and humble. This was an individual who thought that airing out dirty laundry was a disgraceful and disorderly habit that came from poor upbringing.

When it came to family, this was a person who wanted to present her family dynamics in the best possible light--even if tension was in the household.

This was someone who was a tenth house Cancer. What this meant was that her journalistic life was very important to her, possibly because she was able to be the calm, patient and sympathetic ear to millions of Americans, who wrote to her. Because Cancers like to impart suggestions that they think people should act upon (sometimes this aspect of Cancer can make the individuals in this sign a little manipulative), there's a great chance that this individual enjoyed being able to impart her ideologies when it came to everyday conflicts.

With this person's moon being in Taurus and in the eighth house, this individual had a practical streak in her. When she started her column, she probably knew how to start a journalistic career in a no-nonsense way. She also had a way to be blunt and to the point, when it came to advice. The eighth house indicates change and this person thrived on it. No question ever stumped or flummoxed this individual. Good chance that she was also someone who loved fine, aesthetic things for her home and personal surroundings.

With Mercury being in her tenth house, this individual's thoughts were centered around work. When she communicated, either through her column or in life, she probably cushioned her very honest observations in a supportive and sympathetic manner. This was probably why people felt loved by our mystery guest.

With this individual's Venus placement being in Gemini in the ninth house, this person had a dualistic nature when it came to relationships and with a sense of order in life. One day she may have been supportive with loved ones and the next, she was aloof or distant. In order to be as informative as possible with her column, she also traveled quite a bit, or explored all sorts of subjects (as is indicated by the ninth house). This was so that she could be an expert in all different fields of study and with the questions that were posed to her.

Guess who?

I'll reveal the answer and more of this person's chart, tomorrow. Until then, Stargazers, this is Alissandra Coffey, signing off.

Prediction for Pisces to Gemini

Greetings Stargazers!

Today, I will give the last of the predictions for Pisces to Gemini.

Just one note before I begin. Due to the fact that Pisces, Aries and Taurus either has a transit that has a Generational Planet in its house or a Generational Planet that affects the house, I'm afraid that I may sound like a broken record from two weeks ago. I'll try my best to avoid the malady.

Let me go down into the depths of the water to start with our wonderful fish.

Pisces (February 20-March 21):

Neptune is still parked right outside of your house, dear fish, which means that your contemplative nature is still in high gear. You won't just think about a matter or subject at hand, you'll explore it until all exploration is exhausted.

This is also a period of time where you are feeling a little dreamy. Daydreams seem to be the stuff in which your ideas are coming to you. With Pluto's sextile, you're intuition is also given a boost. Again, when it comes to ideas from dreams or from what you feel is right, keep a journal or a pad of paper to jot down what occurs. You never know--what may be a fanciful idea one day, may lead  to a great start to a project, the next.

Just a note of caution: With Neptune's influence, boundaries between what may be too much as opposed to enough are blurred. Try to spot overindulgence when it comes to exploring ideas or just with everyday matters. Also try to find a way to bring yourself back into reality when going into your dreams. Life needs equal amounts of attention.

Aries (March 21-April 19):

I'm afraid that Uranus is still outside your house, dear Rams, which is probably causing you to feel as though you are banging your heads up against a plexiglass wall.

Again, try using the critical thinking aspect of Uranus to take a step back and see matters clearly (i.e. the pros and the cons of your persuits) before you charge. Instead of embroiling yourself in matters that won't have a definite outcome, you could see what's ahead and take matters from there.

As with two weeks ago, try to do what you can as clearly as possible, in order to not become swept up within Pluto's uprooting and Mars' destructive, patience obliterating nature.

With Mercury mixed up in the square, be careful as to not become hasty when needing to express matters. You might end up stating the wrong thing.

And hang in there. Some of the planets that are causing a bit of chaos will move shortly.

Taurus (April 20-May 21):

As with two weeks ago, the opposition with Saturn is still giving you a challenge with expenses or with financial matters.

What you will learn when this transit leaves is what is most important and what you could use within your life and what you might be able to do away with.

Despite the challenges posed, you will find that your communication skills are working quite nicely for you due to Mercury's sextile to your house. Just be careful that you don't say anything hasty--Mars is in conjunction and may cause for you to become impulsive and say the wrong thing.

Gemini (May 22-June 20):

With Jupiter, Venus and Uranus being sextile your house, you are facing a period where you can think critically about all matters and keep a clear headed perspective and things may be going quite well for you when it comes to the romance department. You may find someone who is special to you.

Just a note of caution: Because of Neptune's square to your house, you're probably having moments where you can't really focus or are daydreaming a lot. You may also feel as though your thoughts are in a fog. You can cut through Neptune's influence--it will take a lot of creative thinking on your part to stay one step ahead.

Well Stargazers, this is what I have for the predictions for this week. I really hope that the information that I have given to you is helpful. I know I been a bit brief in what I've had to say. Until next time, check out Jupiter. You might be able to see the constellation for your sign nearby.

Predictions for Scorpio to Aquarius

Greetings Stargazers!

Happy New Moon! For today, all Scorpions, Centaurs, Goats and Water Bearers will be covered in the forecast.

I hope what I predict is relevant to everyone.

With this in mind, let's roll up our sleeves and dive into the heavens, shall we?

Scorpio (October 21-November 23):

As with two weeks ago, dear Scorpions, Grey Lizards and Eagles, Saturn is still sitting outside of your house. So you will still feel very principled, focused and ready to deal with all matters of life in a practical way. You may have even noticed that everything has to be taken step by patient step in order to see successful outcomes.

With Pluto sextile your house, your focus and energy on achieving something will be amplified to where you want to do everything that you can to exceed expectations of yourself, whether within work or in life. This is probably a great time to set goals for yourself and see if those goals are met within the month.

This will also be a great time for you to grow internally and see wonderful growth.

A note of caution:

Because of Saturn's square with the Jupiter and Venus conjunction within Leo, relationships and bigger pictures will undergo a serious challenge. Perhaps you might want to make sure that loved ones come into the picture of achieving your goals. And even though it seems that everything in life is posing a challenge, you have the endurance to learn and grow from these challenges. This could be a time to let go of old habits that aren't aiding you or of old restrictive ways that are blocking progress.

Sagittarius (November 24-December 20):

Right now, dear Centaurs, it seems that your adventures are just moving along and going as planned. Great chance that this is a quiet week for you, which, according to your usual buoyant mood, you don't mind. The only thing that you're experiencing is that your mind likes to wander, daydream and sets ideals that may be hard to achieve.

The quiet situations are due to the fact that a planet is not outside your house. The high idealism is that Neptune is squared your house.

I always encourage people who are facing Neptunian influences to keep a journal or to log your experiences in some way. You just never know if an idea may come about from the transit's illusions--especially when it comes to a philosophical idea or adventure to undergo.

A note of caution:

Just don't try and meet some of these lofty expectations that are popping into your mind (i.e. climbing Mount Everest in one day). Not only are they unrealistic but Neptune has been known to lead people into danger from it's illusory effect. Perhaps this is a great time to ponder and save the risky things for another time.

Capricorn (December 21-January 19):

You poor Goats. You're most likely facing a hard time, right now.

The culprits? Pluto is still sitting right outside of your house. Mars, Mercury and the Moon are also in opposition.

While you're still interested in matters that are engaging you to look inside of yourself, you may be feeling restless and your moods are on a darker note. With Mercury's influence, you may have dealt with edgy thought patterns or you may have been a little edgy verbally.

As with two weeks ago, everything seems to be coming at you all at once and life is not giving you much of a break. This would be a great time to take up a holistic activity such as Yoga, Tai Chi, knitting, mandala work, etc. The holistic activities will help you to cope with all of what's going on and give you more time to dive into yourself. Plus you'll be productive in accomplishing something.

Hang in there Goats. The opposition aspects should subside soon.

Aquarius (January 20-February 19):

As with two weeks ago, Water Bearers, you only situation is that you're feeling torn between spending time with friends and family and seeing the bigger picture of life and dealing with the analytical side as well.

In order to balance the opposition with Leo's Jupiter and Venus conjunction, it may be important to spend time with friends and family after work and take care of the analytical issues during the day.  In balancing the opposition,  you'll find the answer to how you can even out of the tug of war that is occurring inside of you.

Well Stargazers, this wraps up a full filled day in the stars. Happy gazing, tonight!

Forecast for Cancer to Libra

Greetings Stargazers!

Some of the planets from two weeks ago have moved (hooray)! This means the forecast can continue.

For today, I will cover Cancer to Libra. Tomorrow will be Scorpio to Aquarius. Thursday will cover Pisces to Gemini.

So with all of this said, let's see what's in the heavens.

Cancer (June 21-July 22):

Man, dear Crabs, it looks as though you guys have been having quite the week so far.

With Mars being in conjunction with Mercury, you're not your usual, quiet self, at times. You're feeling rather compelled to share your views and ideas with everybody, again for the advancement for a group. You may also have experienced that you're presentation of your ideas is very compelling and persuasive, to where a lot of your ideas are being placed into action.

Your ruling planet, the Moon is also outside your house right now, which, at other times, causes for you to be your usual, maternal and intuitive self.

With the fact that the Moon is also in conjunction with Mercury, you're also experiencing a surge of sharing your feelings and emotions with others. Your thoughts are also far more subjective, rather than logic based, so it also may be a little difficult to make decisions where others are concerned. Try to hold off on making important decision until Thursday, when the Moon has passed into Leo and Mercury is on it's own.

A note of caution:

With Mars and the Moon being outside of your house, you may be feeling a little more sensitive to perceived slights and insults. Your emotions may run a little high as well.

With Pluto's opposition in the mix, make sure that you don't make hasty and destructive comments and try to take a little more perspective on other people's remarks. Perhaps someone is just trying to make a light joke and is not very great with comedic timing.

Believe me, if you make a destructive remark, it won't help to ease the situation or how you're feeling.

It might also be wise to take up a holistic form of movement or therapy, like Yoga, Tai Chi, Qigong, knitting, pottery, mandala work, etc. You'll be able to forget the slights and you'll feel better with the fact that you're accomplishing something for yourself.

Leo (July 23-August 23):

Well, Romantic Lions. As with two weeks ago, you're still feeling that you need to keep your life free of complication and conflict, by using your best diplomacy skills. Venus and Jupiter are still outside of your house.

On top of your increased desire to keep your environments harmonious, your hearts are still very big, when it comes to loved ones (or loved ones to be). Your mind may be far more likely to think of grand, sweeping romantic stories.

With Venus and Jupiter's conjunction, this is the time in your life where you are wearing rose colored glasses.

And to add to your positive vibe, everything is still running rather smoothly in your life.

A note of caution:

Even though the square with Saturn's position is a minor setback, you may have to undergo a couple of obstacles when it comes to major projects. While the idealism, for the project, is in full force, the project may take a little more time than anticipated.

Also, your diplomatic nature and overall good mood may be put to the test. Circumstances may come about where your patience is tested. These circumstances could be someone who is being rather combative and condescending to you or it could be that you're having a hard time going somewhere because everybody is right where you are.

Your current buoyant humor should be of aid in these trying circumstances and provide the answers that you need.

Virgo (August 24-September 23):

While you're still feeling the tug of war between fanciful ideals and needing practical answers to your life projects, dear Virgins, there's some good news for you.

With Mars, Mercury, the Moon and Saturn being sextiled to your house, you are finding some great attributes that are aiding for you to gain some stability.

You're definitely experiencing more of a drive to work through some of the fog that Neptune is causing. With this increased drive, you may be coming to more solutions than transparent musings.

With Saturn, you are more focused and willing to work towards a solution. Mercury is aiding in the regard that you have times where you're more clear headed.

With the Moon, you may even have a little extra guidance from your own intuition.

A note of caution:

When Neptune decided to produce it's fog, accommodate the time for a mental break. Also keep a journal. You never know if a fanciful idea may lead to a great practical idea for your life's projects.

Libra (September 24-October 23):

The Jupiter and Venus conjunction, in Leo, is sextile your house, dear Scales. What this means is that relationships will soar to great heights.

With your friendly and diplomatic nature, you will be able to smooth out conflicts and just remain in friendly company for a while. This is also a time where everything seems to be running smoothly for you.

The extra amount of friends, family and companions will help when it comes to the Uranus opposition and the tensions it has been causing you when it has come to balance.

This may be a time where you feel that you can use critical thinking, diplomatically, in order to aid you in weighing matters fairly. You're not feeling pressured into making an erratic decision or prone to feeling down, because it's taking more time than usual to come to a decision.

A note of caution:

Just be careful as to not rely on Jupiter's luck too much. Make sure that you're still working hard and placing a lot of effort into the things that are running smoothly within your life.

Jupiter's good graces can turn when you start to take advantage of them.

Well Stargazers, this is what I have from my tired bones (man, trips to a hospital and back are exhausting!). I hope that all of our Crabs, Lions, Virgins and Scales find the predictions helpful. And tomorrow, we'll push forward.

Until then, this is Alissandra Coffey, signing off.

One last look at the Twelve Zodiac Signs: Aquarius and Pisces

Greetings Stargazers!

To all of you Aquarians and Pisceans, I would like to apologize for the delay today. My mother just had back surgery and I've been at the hospital for the majority of the day.

However, I'm not too shy to make another trip to the stars.

Speaking of which, have you seen Jupiter in the heavens? And I think that I have been able to see Venus with it. In the Denver Metro Area, both planets have been in the western half of the sky.

The discoveries of Pluto are also becoming quite fascinating as well. Especially with how cameras will be able to zoom in and take pictures as to what the "dwarf planet" will look like from within (if all goes well, of course).

I love how Astrology can come into action right in your own very backyard (or close to, for the matter of Pluto).

Well, without further ado, Water bearers and Fish, the spotlight is on you--and don't worry, it's not as daunting as you think it will be.

Aquarius (January 19-February 20):

Many would say that Aquarius can be a very complex sign. Especially since the individuals who comprise this sign can be very eccentric.

For starters, Aquarius, like Scorpio, is ruled by two planets. There's Uranus, ruler of critical thinking, scientific rationale, empiricism and erraticism and then there's Saturn, ruler of discipline, focus and challenges.

With the Uranus factor, it would not be uncommon for the Aquarian to pride themselves on using logic in the everyday--logic in the form of approaching life as a extended scientific experiment. Whether they're fascinated by how the Atom bomb was composed, what the latest trend on string theory is or whether they are figuring out how to clean their house, our Water Bearers think empirically.

They may even approach all matters of their life, in steps: first we obliterate all of the mess that's on the floor and see how that works for house cleaning. Then we take a look at the carpets and observe the specimens that are on it. Then I would like to test a hypothesis on whether shampooing the carpets is superior to vacuuming, etc.

With approaching life like a scientist, Uranus also causes Aquarians to come across like rebels. One of the biggest things that an Aquarian likes to do is to question all set and rigid rules of society.
For example, if someone comes up to one of these personalities, insisting that he/she needs to dress up when attending the opera, the Aquarian may say something like, "Dress up? Who is the oppressive authoritarian who states all of these stupid rules? It's no wonder why the opera is so boring, when  people are completely repressed from being their own individuals."

Lo and behold, you'll probably find the Aquarian attending the opera in day glow hair, jeans and a very bright tank top or tee shirt, just to test the waters and see how society will or won't correct the mistaken dress code.

With Saturn in the mix, Aquarians are very dedicated and big picture individuals. Most infamous in Astrology, is the notion that Aquarius is the humanitarian. Indeed, our Water Bearers are dedicated and even fascinated by humanity as a whole. Their sense of dedication and focus drives them to do what can be possible to end childhood hunger, poverty or the lack of education (just to name a few causes). They can see how to cure a couple of ills in humanity by looking at the whole picture.

Their dedication, focus and discipline in these endeavors can be quite limiting, however, especially when one individual comes up to the Aquarian to ask for help. You see, humanity, at an individual level, can flummox and perplex and Aquarian because they're not used to looking at a smaller scale of things.

Between looking at everything in a logical manner and having a little difficulty at looking at a smaller scale, the biggest shadow side of this sign is that they can come across as being a little cold and detached.

However the chilliness usually fades when surrounded by friends.

If you have a friend, companion or relation in Aquarius, you will find someone who is unique and who has a very level head upon his/her shoulders. Because of their highly logical side, Aquarians are also great at giving very practical advice. I recommend listening to what they have to say.

Pisces (February 20-March 20):

If Pisces is at the end of the Zodiac, then the individuals who comprise the sign are the elders like Gandalf of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, Merlin of the Arthurian Legends and Professor Dumbledore of the Harry Potter series.

Indeed Pisces are the sages, the poets, the philosophers who have a limitless depth of knowledge on humanity or on what make life turn.

Because of Neptune's influence, our two fish like to explore subjects to great depths. Rarely will you hear a Piscean personality complain of boredom or having enough when they are engaged in a subject that they're really interested within and passionate about.

Due to Neptune's influence, these are individuals who have a great amount of intuition and who are not afraid to use it. They're also rather sensitive and can be easily hurt by an ill timed word or a perceived insult.

Like Libra and Gemini, there is a dualistic nature to these wise and sensitive souls. While one fish likes to explore limitless depths, the other fish may be bound to earthly planes.

With these opposites pulling each other in two directions, Piscean personalities can also become rather confused when it comes to how to use their sage-like abilities, or just where to go within life. The confusion can be likened to seeing Merlin, questioning as to how he could use his magic in life.

When treated with disrespect, they can even grow so confused as to burn out or give up on what could be a search for great possibilities in life.

The next time when you feel burned out, dear fish, think of this: Albert Einstein was a famous Piscean. If it weren't for his limitless imagination, Quantum Physics would not have been born and Science would not have been able to move forward. Romantics can find great possibilities not yet discovered all because of imagination and the ability of thinking outside of the box. If confused, just reach for the stars and your answer will come.

If you have a Piscean companion, you will find the most sympathetic person, who is patient and who will listen to what you have to say. As with the aforementioned fictional characters, take their advice seriously. Who knows? The advice may lead to a much needed quest for your soul.

Well, Stargazers, here ends our trip of looking a little more closely at the twelve sign of the Zodiac. I hope the trip has been helpful.

Tomorrow, I will see what I can do about the weekly forecast. I just hope a couple of planets have moved a little.

Until then, happy journeys to the heavens!

A Look At Sagittarius and Capricorn

Greetings Stargazers!

Information about the twelve sun signs continues with our upbeat and courageous Centaurs and our studious, hard working Goats.

Today, I will be relating a bit more about the signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn.

So Centaurs and Goats, I'm climbing the mountains that you're both on to add to adventure and to share.

Sagittarius (November 24-December 21):

As with Aries, the best way in which I can describe Sagittarius is by the glyph of the arrow shooting up into the air, somewhere.

Sagittarius is very much a sign of adventure, either on an intellectual basis or actual physical adventure as is indicated by their house--the ninth house, which entails travel.

Like the arrow in their glyph, the Centaurs like to shoot their arrows from their quivers, just to see where the arrow leads them. In a way these personalities are very spontaneous, in the moment people. These are the individuals who will schedule a last minute trip to Mount Everest, just to see what the mountain entails. They're also the type who will dive right into a philosophical theory, because it's exciting and offers a fresh, new perspective on life.

The more dangerous or the more risk the opportunity offers, the more appealing the adventure is to Sagittarius. And due to their ruling sign of Jupiter (planet of luck and expansion) they come out of a dicey situation without a scratch.

In a way, Sagittarians are very similar to their opposition sign Gemini. The one big difference is that Sagittarius likes to stick to a physical locale or to a subject of study, because, being philosophical souls, they like to see how new explorations relate to their grand, overall philosophy of life. They're not the type of personalities who flit from one interest to the next.

One of the other aspects that is quite fascinating about Sagittarius is that, along with Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces, they are one of the older sun signs of the Zodiac. Sagittarians are well know for carrying very wise ideas and knowledge, even at a young age.  Unlike all the sun signs who have come previous, Sagittarians have an air about themselves that conveys, "I've seen these sort of conundrums that you describe and I know the exact cure for your ills."

Speaking of knowing, one shadow side of Sagittarius is that they can be know it all's, at certain times. An example can come when someone is interested in Tai Chi and would like to relate as to how exciting the unique form of movement is in his/her life.
Whether the reaction comes from impatience, or just an honest mistake, Sagittarius can behave to the information with "Yes, I discovered Tai Chi, years ago and I know all about the health benefits. What else is new?" They may even add droopy eyes to this statement, causing for the other person to become annoyed with Sagittarius' behavior or resistant to share anything else.

Another shadow side is that Sagittarius, along with Aries and Leo, are individuals who pride themselves of abiding on telling the truth. Sometimes, however, that truth can lead to a not so nice case of foot in mouth disease.

Otherwise, if you're looking for a friend or companion who doesn't make demands and if you're someone who doesn't mind keeping a spare key under the mat, Sagittarius is a wonderful sign to associate with. Not only do you have someone who's upbeat and able to go with the flow but you're associating with someone who has a huge heart.

Sagittarians are loyal people, who place friendship first.

Capricorn (December 22-January 19):

One matter that is extremely striking about Capricorn, is that these personalities come out of the womb as very old souls.

As children, it's not uncommon for a Capricorn to say something like, "Who has time to play, when I have so much work to do?" And with that statement, you'll see the little Capricorn go about chores, yard work or other tedious things to do, without so much as even a bat to their eyelashes or without their parents requests.

This sort of behavior can be attributed to both Capricorn's ruling planet, Saturn (the planet of discipline and challenges) and their house (the tenth house--the place of reputation).

As with Saturn, Capricorn is a diligent and focused person from childhood to adult life. I feel that it's because many Capricorns feel that they were born into this world with a lot of obstacles to overcome. However, unlike the other signs of the Zodiac, they also have an innate ability of just knowing how to overcome the obstacles. Like the Goat on the muddy and rough terrains of the mountains, every obstacle has to be climbed step by patient step, even if it takes years to come to stable ground. It's just the way that matters go.

Another nice added bit of innate knowledge that Capricorn has in his/her possession, is how to make a solid and reputable life and how to be successful in this reputable life. They know that, again, that success takes years and that it takes endurance to work hard, around the clock.
Many Capricorns come to their success later in life (i.e. their thirties or fourties), because they are practical,  humbling individuals. If they find that they're starting to become successful at twenty, they take the success with the attitude that it's only beginners luck and that they need to hang on until the success snowballs.

When the success does, indeed, snowball, Capricorns aren't afraid of showing off their wealth. With all of their hard work, they feel that they deserve wearing an Armani tux and other designer baubles.

One big drawback to Capricorn, is that they can come across as being a little cold--almost to the point of icy. Many individuals may even mistake this coolness as being a sign of not having a compassionate heart.

Don't let the hard exterior fool you however--like Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice, Capricorns have a soft, sensitive spot in their hearts. Especially when it comes to being a great, strong, father type of figure to their young children. The catch that many loved ones have to understand is that Capricorn's lure to love and marriage is stability. They like to think in terms of what will provide permanence and comfort for the future.

Well. Stargazers. Monday will bring the introduction of the Waterbearers and Fish--Aquarius and Pisces. Until then, stay dry, if you're in Denver. Enjoy the heavens, if you're elsewhere.

A Deeper Look at Libra and Scorpio

Greetings Stargazers!

Today's post will be quite interesting, in the regard that there are a lot of Librans out there  and a lot of Scorpions who feel that they should remain in hiding because of the misconceptions of their sign.

Hopefully I can shed a little bit of light on the two signs, so that everyone can feel proud of who they are and when they were born.

So, with my aims, let's roll up our sleeves and take a trip to the constellations of the Scales and the Scorpion!

Libra (September 24-October 21):

As was covered with the post on Virgo, yesterday, everybody thinks that it's the sign of the Virgin who are the perfectionists of the Zodiac.

What a lot of people don't realize is that Libra is actually the perfectionist.

When considering the sign of the Scales, Libra is associated with balance, diplomacy, harmony, beauty and idealism. Because Libras need balance within their lives in order for life to run as smoothly as possible, sometimes that sense of balance leads to aims of perfection.

The perfectionistic streak of Libra can come out through a multitude of ways. Through making sure every painting on every wall is straight, or through striving for perfection in the workplace (i.e. computer programs are running perfectly, the workplace has the perfect amount of conducive noise and that one's desk contains neat piles where every document can be found). Sometimes a Libran needs to have the perfect balance in what he/she is wearing on a given day--the colors of a blouse needs to be coordinated with the colors in the pants and shoes that compliment the outfit.

Don't think, though, that being around a Libran personality will be a daunting task. Many Librans are very personable, to the point where many signs come to like being around these fair minded personalities. Maybe it's because many are level headed and down to earth. Perhaps their fair looks add a little appeal despite the fact that they take a long time to make up their minds--Librans are known to consider all sides to every situation. Or it could also be that these individuals are just genuinely nice.

Librans are like the girl/boy next door. They're the type of individuals who may send you a birthday card, every year, or bring a bowl of soup to you, when you're sick. Why? Because, Librans think that it's ideal to consider everybody when going about their day to day.

Speaking of ideals, don't be surprised if your Libran friend or colleague finds a particular cause to be very important to pay equal amounts of attention to. As with their house--the seventh house, which rules marriages--they give a lot of themselves to others.

As with Cancer and Virgo, however, Librans need to be careful that they don't give too much of themselves to others. "Me" time to is greatly needed for the Libran to recharge his/her batteries and recalibrate the scales.

As was mentioned earlier, Librans also weigh all sides to a situation that is posed and it's not uncommon for these personalities to have three or more sides balancing on either side of their scales.

Whether the matter concerns what is needed within a government or what to eat for dinner, Librans always think in dualistic terms. What may be an idealistic concept for world hunger may cause for a dystopia, Thai and Chinese food are similar--one style is just a little heavier than the other. There can be a myriad of color schemes that compliment the décor of a house.
And what's to say that one color is just one shade of color? To the eyes of the Libran, one shade of color can be twenty different shades where fifty shades can compliment.

For this matter, it's not uncommon for the Libran personality to be a little indecisive and unable to come to a conclusion in a fast amount of time.

Other shadow sides of Libra can be that they can be a little shallow, when it comes to their love of the aesthetic. Sometimes, they can overlook what's on the inside when they see someone or something that looks beautiful. They can also create rivalry, in relationships, by flaunting how attractive they are.

Librans, along with Leo and Taurus, are also known as being the big spenders of the Zodiac, so I always advise Librans to watch out when it comes to the price tag to the aesthectic--the same object may have a better deal, somewhere else.

Otherwise, if you need a friend who's non-judgemental, patient and kind, you will most certainly find that within a Libran.

Libra is also ruled by Venus, which fosters diplomacy, a fair social life, the love of the aesthetic and an attractive appearance.

Scorpio (October 23-November 24):

As I had stated above, Scorpio is the most misunderstood sign of the Zodiac. Some unfortunate individuals have fallen into the trap that Medieval Astrologers have set out for the sign--those born under Scorpio have a propensity for crime, an obsession for death and an equally intense obsession with sex.

The truth of the sign is that there's not just one symbol for Scorpio--there's three!

The lesser evolved and immature individuals are considered to be symbolized by the Scorpion. These are the individuals who obsess over sex, gaining power over people and situations and who have high octave emotional levels. Due to one of Scorpio's ruling planets, those who are ruled by the Scorpion will cave to these influence by picking fights with their loved ones and finding ways to battle an aspect of society. Scorpions are loyal by being too possessive over their loved ones. They also spend their time finding the best way to be  mysterious and brooding.

The slightly more mature individuals are represented by the Grey Lizard. These are the Scorpios who don't need to have incessant amounts of power and intrigue in their lives--they've already worked out how these attributes can come to them naturally. Their emotional levels can be slightly toned down--instead of picking for fights with the one's with whom they love, they may let some things go. The Grey Lizard may have some issues to work through that are usual to the level of the Scorpion but they work very hard to overcome these issues.

The very mature Scorpios are symbolized by the Eagle. The Eagle is the more philosophical individual, who feels that life is in control by what they do, not by who they dominate. They use the energies of their other ruling planet, Pluto, by seeing into the truth of matters, without alienating people. Their mystery comes from the decisions that they make, not by trying too hard. And they can be loyal, in the regard that they think of the people who they love first as opposed to themselves.

Interesting, eh?

So, dear Scorpions, the next time that you read a horoscope prediction that forecasts when exactly you're going to have sex, think about whether you are a Scorpion, the Grey Lizard or the Eagle.

One matter that Scorpio teaches every sign in the Zodiac--we always have levels in our personalities to work toward.

Another aspect of Scorpio that I found to be interesting, is that the sign is likened to the Greco/Roman myth of the Hydra and how Hercules had overcome the monster.

The destructive monster that was ruling over a village with fear tactics (the Hydra was known for eating people who came near its cave), Hercules overcame the battle of the Hydra by bringing the monster into light. When done, the hideous monster turned into a jewel.

Scorpio, in my eyes, is the sign that brings their own Hydras as well as the Hydras of others into light. Literally, it's seeking for the truth of individuals and aiding everyone by the wisdom of these all pervasive truths.

Again, however, how you present the truth needs to be considered. Are you the Scorpion, who's alienating people? Are you the Grey Lizard, who has everyone's best interests in mind, but might need to work on approach more? Or are you the Eagle, who presents the truth in noble ways?

Scorpio is also ruled by two planets, instead of one. Mars, which rules over willpower, drive, energy and impulse. Pluto, which rules over seeing deeply into matters and not taking anything at face value. Be careful though--Pluto also rules over complete destruction in order to revamp one's life.

Well Stargazers! This is what I see within the heavens for today. As is my usual wish, happy traveling to the stars.

A closer look at Leo and Virgo

Greetings Stargazers!

I had noticed that I had forgotten to cite the text in which I had cited and to mention the specific names of the twins featured in Gemini. I had just updated the post and corrected the two errors.

Today, all of you lions and virgins can rejoice. I'm going to relate a bit of information on the two signs of Leo and Virgo.

If you are reading this page and would like to see a particular Astrological subject covered, or if you have comments about your forecast, please feel free to comment.

With that in mind...

Leo (July 23-August 24):

Yours truly is in this particular sign.

To describe Leo the best, I feel that an exploration of the ruling planet (the Sun) and the ruling animal (the Lion) is in order.

As with the big cats of the jungle, Leos are traditionally known to be the kings or queens of the Zodiac. With that said, Leos like to be noticed by their "kingdoms" (whichever arena in life the "kingdom happens to be a metaphor of) and they also like to keep their interests within the people who make up their kingdom.

Even with the more mellow personality, Leos, as with their ruling planet, the Sun, crave being appreciated, for what they give. Whether they give life to a party, they give their most sagely advice or when they just want to be recognized, they like it when people pay attention to them. They may even fish for compliments, when they feel that their spotlight is growing dim.

What a lot of astrologers seem to miss, when it comes to Leo, is that the sign can indicate a personality who is also very spiritual and reflective. "Spiritual," in this context, refers to the quest of connecting to life in some way. In fact, a Leo who is continually demanding the limelight is secretly needing this quest. When they find the connection, Leos can be very mature as to what really matters when it comes to their kingdom and to themselves. And when they grow mature, they are rather giving and tame in their demands.

Seeing a bigger picture may aid with the Lion when it comes to their shadow side. While they can be generous and have a huge heart, Leos can be impatient, ill tempered, egotistical and can take issue with the smallest matters within life. Sometimes, it doesn't take much for the big cats to roar rather loudly, for everyone to hear what they are displeased with.

However, if you have a friend who is in the sign of Leo, good chance that you have a very loyal, big and generous friend.

Virgo (August 24-September 23):

Virgo, along with Scorpio, can be one of the most misrepresented signs of the Zodiac.
Virgo is usually cited with personalities who are perfectionistic in nature. Everything in a Virgo's home has to be a ninety degree angles and all of the pictures on the wall have to be straight. They are even cited to be miserly and prudish.

First of all, there are two types of Virgo. There's the type who like neatness and then there's the type who can live off of creative clutter.

The Virgo who live with creative clutter is the type who may have piles and stacks of items all over their office or home. However, what a lot of individuals don't seem to notice is that this type of Virgo knows where everything is, unlike where their counterparts would have trouble navigating the mess.

The Virgo who likes neatness is not so much prudish and prone to straightening things when someone, say, touches a picture. They just need order.

Order and precision are two key words for Virgo. These personalities like to have a grasp on just knowing their environments and life well. If everything is well prepared, the Virgo personality feel that they can maneuver life better. They also feel a little less scatterbrained, knowing how, like Gemini, their minds move rather quickly.

Virgo's ruling planet, Mercury, causes for the personality, to know so many things, in great detail, that they can have a hard time fitting the new information, into the shuffle of their brains.

Something else that comes to mind is that Virgo is also very self contained. One reason why you'll find these personalities sitting on the sidelines of a party or of a class, is that they feel that they don't need company to keep them entertained. The best company for the Virgo personality, is themselves and the best knowledge comes from them.

A Virgo has to be careful that sitting on the sidelines doesn't lead to wimpiness and hesitancy.

Knowing that the house that rules Virgo, is the sixth house--the house of philanthropy and health-- these individuals are also known for giving a lot of themselves--more than a Cancer can give--to a point where it may be a little too much. If a Virgo personality starts to feel abused by what they are giving, good change that's a great indication that they need to stop giving that part of themselves.

Virgos are also know for being complete hypochondriacs, knowing how fixated a Virgo personality can be on his/her own health.

However, you won't find a far more grounded person than that of a Virgo.

On tomorrow's slate: To all of you fair minded people of the Scales and of the Scorpion, your day is tomorrow!

Until then, this is Alissandra Coffey, signing off.

A closer look at Gemini and Cancer

Greetings Stargazers! Alissandra Coffey here.

Today I'm continuing on with revealing more about Gemini and our birthday sign, Cancer.

I had noticed that two more people have been checking out my posts! As exciting as it is, please feel free to comment on what you would like to see or know more about, when it comes to Astrology. Or feel free to leave input on how I'm doing.

So without further ado, let's preservere on with the twins in the sky.

Gemini (June 20-July 21):

The best way to know our plucky twins is through a little Greco/Roman mythological story.*  Zeus, our usual central god, had granted an assignment to two twins by the names of Castor and Pollux. One twin was to stay on Mount Olympus and the other had to descend to the earth below.
The catch of the Castor and Pollux's stay was that they couldn't get used to their surroundings. Once one twin was settled on Mount Olympus that was where that twin had to descend down to the earth while the other twin went to Mount Olympus and vise versa. So was their fate for the rest of eternity.

Goodness could you imagine having to switch between two living places in a short amount of time?

Gemini can, at least with their thoughts, feelings and moods. As with Castor and Pollux, one day these individuals may be in a wonderful mood and are making friends rapidly and talking a mile a minute. The next moment, they're deathly silent, telling all their acquaintances to leave them alone as they brood.

What happened?

Like Castor and Pollux, someone who was once on Mount Olympus had to descend to the earth and the move was a harsh one. Whether the Gemini personality faces a change in life that was unexpected, a harsh reality that they weren't prepared for or just a shift of mood that they don't even know as to why it's occurring, this is just how the Gemini's  dualistic personality sets in.

But don't let the aforementioned cause for you to avoid these very spry individuals.

As with their house--the third house, which is of thought and communication--the Gemini personality loves to learn about new things and share with all of their friends, relatives and cohorts. In a way, the Gemini personality is like the newscaster that you watch in the evening--Breaking News: GMO's are taking over the planet. Did you know? More babies are born on the full moon. This just in: I just went on the scariest roller coaster ever and lived to tell you all about it.

A friend to a Gemini personality never grows bored of this person's company, because they have so many interesting things to share and interesting places to go to.

And if you think that Gemini specializes in one particular subject matter, think again. Because Gemini would like to know everything and everyone, they tend to learn one subject matter, only to cut to other subject matters in a matter of minutes. Like the butterfly, they land on a particular flower only to fly to another in a short time.

Their ruling planet, Mercury, is the responsible party, when it comes to the fast paced mind of Gemini. Like gifted and talented students, they need to stay occupied or else boredom sets in. And, believe me, there's nothing like having a dualistic person, complain when they are bored.

Cancer (June 20-July 22):

To look at these sensitive and intuitive souls, we need to take a look at Cancer's ruling planet, the Moon.

When the Moon is full, it's there for everyone to see and to illuminate the whole of the night's sky. To provide light, in order to guide those who are lost, to provide beauty for artists, to guide the tide tables to rise and to give aid to new mothers, when it comes to giving birth.

In a way, the metaphor of the full moon also describes Cancer's tendency to be the mother sign of the zodiac. They can be helpful, nurturing and can lend a sympathetic ear when someone has doubts, worries or is experiencing bad day. In many ways, they like to be the person who is "there" for someone, guiding everyone to their best paths.

Now when the Moon is waning until there is complete darkness in the sky, is another metaphor of Cancer's shy and mysterious side. They're the type of personalities who know a lot of things about everyone around them but rarely everyone knows who they are.

One reason--when someone asks a Cancerian personality to tell them a little more about themselves, they usually don't know how to answer such a question. After all, like a mother, they are so busy trying to aid others, that they don't know where to begin when it comes to themselves.

Another attribute that Cancerian personalities find themselves within is that they spend so much time giving to other people, that they become resentful of other people not being considerate enough to give back.

One bit of advice is for the Cancerian personality to take a bit of "me" time, every now and then. While the venture to aid others can be admirable, we all need a little break from others from time to time. Also, the other signs have a myriad of ways to express gratitude. It might be in a form that is least expected.

Well Stargazers, this wraps up another interestingly filled time up in the stars. Next time, dear Lions and Virgins (again, I really hope that didn't sound bad) the limelight will be yours. We'll cover Leo and Virgo.

Until then, keep journeying up in the sky!

Forecast for week of 7/5/15 and a Surprise

Greetings Stargazers! I hope that you're forth of July weekend was a blast (no pun intended, when it comes to the sound of the fireworks) and that all of the fun was nice and safe.

As with last week's forecast, everything is the same, planet wise. Two things have changed: To all you Cancers out there, just be careful of compulsive behaviors, due to how Uranus is squared your Mars placement, in your house and also of destructive behavior to those who seem to be combative to you. While this may be a time where you're finding another dimension to your usually quiet personality, there may be some points where you will need to allow for your quiet personality to rule through your day.

To all of the fish out there, Pisces has an additional planet in its house--the Moon. Along with diving into new ideas, you may also feel that your intuition has heightened. Again, keep a journal of what you discover right now.

The reason for the lack of difference? For Aries, Leo, Scorpio, Capricorn and Pisces, what astrologers call the Generational Planets, are outside of your house. What this means is that it will take between six months to seventeen years for these slow bodies to move. These planets certainly like to linger and visit until their welcome has been worn out.

The other reason is that it seems that some of the faster moving planets, need another week or two to move from the house that they're within. These planets are Mercury, Venus and Mars.

For those of you whose signs have a Generational Planet outside your house, not to worry. I'll keep in touch with you for when the planets change their positions.

So now, for the surprise.

Since some of our stargazers may be new to Astrology and might be wondering as to what I'm talking about when it comes to what being in the sign of the Goat means, I thought I would cover the basics of each of the twelve signs, for this week.

Today, I'll start in the traditional order, with Aries. I'll cover Aries to Taurus. From there, I'll cover two signs until we're at Pisces (the end of the Zodiac).

I hope you'll like this new feature, Stargazers. And please let me know if there is another topic for which you would like to see within this blog.

To start out, the signs of the Zodiac are constellations within the sky. Ancient Astrologers had noticed that each constellation would appear in the sky at particular times. For a while, the signs of the Zodiac were probably referred to when it came to predicting the seasons of the year.
For example, if the constellation of the Lion (Leo) was leaving the horizon and the constellation of the Virgin (Virgo) was seen, it was time to harvest crops and expect cooler weather, for autumn was approaching.
If the constellation of the Water Bearer was receding the heavens and the constellation of the fish were present, Spring was coming and it was a great time to prepare to plant crops.
As centuries moved, personality attributes were given to each sign. One's personality is what is gauged with persons born under a particular sign (or, for all intense purposes, a constellation).

Aries (March 20-April 19):

Aries comes as the first sign within the Zodiac, as its symbol is that of the Ram. Aries is likened to being the newborn sign, knowing that it comes first within the Zodiac.
The best way to describe the personality would be to look at the glyph that accompanies.
The two halves, that represent the horns of the Ram, represent two crescent moons, which symbolize ideals. The snout of the Ram, represents how the ideals come to the earth.
With that said, Aries are known for thinking of an idea and immediately wanting to do that particular idea, right away. Post haste! Now! If there is an Aries personality that wants to become an actor, other signs need to stand out of the way, unless they want to be trampled, because the Aries personality will do everything in his/her power to make the idea of being the actor comes true. The same can be said of buying new furniture, a new home, finding a new job, etc.
The key phrase for an Aries personality is, "Instant results achieved is better than waiting until it's too late to do anything."
While an Aries' sense of urgency can be admirable in the regard that they are decisive in what they want in their lives and they get things done, the drawback is that an Aries personality can be rather impulsive, when it comes to their drives. Especially if they are having an exasperating month.
Just imagine a Ram, barreling down an alleyway, with their heads down and their eyes locked on their ideal. Instead of smashing through brick walls and overcoming all obstacles, the ram bashes its head into a steel wall, causing for it to fly backward and end up with a nasty bruise on its head.
When an Aries personality is having a bad day, the above mentioned metaphor is what an Aries personality feels like.
Along with nasty bruises on the head, the Aries personality can be so impulsive as to not see dangerous situations or obstacles in their path, until it's too late. Because they are all about the here and the now and they're too impatient to weigh pros and cons of their current project.
In a way, Aries can be the go-getter of the Zodiac, whose ruling sign, Mars, can foster the drive for success, willpower, impatience,  a hot temper and determination.

Taurus (April 20-May 21):

The best way to describe someone who falls in the sign of the Bull, is by their ruling house--the second house, the place for finances, possessions and money! Their ruling planet, Venus, can also give a couple of clues to their personality.
The endearing and practical Bulls love fine objects and pleasant company. In fact, the people who make up their social group are usually people who have very lovely appearances. Venus, which rules this sign, is all about aesthetic tastes.
Along with their love of fine art, fine jewelry and very expensive, priceless objects, they are very sturdy and practical people, who handle the everyday life with tough skin. It takes a lot to ruffle a Taurus personality's  feathers. With their sturdy personality, they aren't afraid to work at jobs in which they get a little dirty or where they put in a lot of hard work. "Hard work, after all, is what makes the day revolve around," is what you'll hear a Taurus personality say.
The drawback to their sturdy countenance, is that our lovely Bulls can be very stubborn and very unwilling to do something that they don't want to do. And when their anger is roused, they can put up quite a nasty fight.
They can also keep a firm hold on fine possessions, friends and companions, especially if they feel threatened by someone that they don't like.
Otherwise, Taurus can be very loyal, sincere and diplomatic friends and companions with huge hearts.

Well, stargazers, this is what I have for you, today. Again, I hope it's helpful. Between now and when we meet next, keep searching the sky!
